1. Information We Collect

• Account details: name, email address, phone number, password (stored encrypted).
• Booking details: pickup/drop-off locations, rental dates, and service type.
• Compliance documents (self-drive only): a copy of your driving license and national ID/passport, required so we can verify you're legally permitted to drive before handing over a vehicle.
• Driver-partner documents: if you apply to list your own vehicle with us, your license, vehicle logbook, and vehicle photos.
• Payment information: M-Pesa transaction references and phone number used to pay. We do not receive or store your M-Pesa PIN - that is handled entirely by Safaricom.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Create and manage your account and bookings
• Verify eligibility for self-drive rentals and driver-partner applications
• Process payments and deposits, and issue driver payouts
• Send booking confirmations, payment receipts, and service updates by email
• Investigate disputes, fraud, or misuse of the Service

3. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. It may be shared with: the driver assigned to your booking (name, phone number, pickup details only - never your ID/license documents); Safaricom, to process M-Pesa payments; and law enforcement or regulators, where we're legally required to.

4. How We Store & Protect Your Data

Documents and personal data are stored on secured servers and access is limited to staff who need it to do their job (e.g. verifying a driver-partner application). Passwords are never stored in plain text. We retain your data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations.

5. Your Rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or object to certain uses of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below - we will respond within a reasonable time.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage to keep you signed in between visits. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at, or intended for use by, anyone under 18 years of age.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes. Significant changes will be communicated by email where practical.
